CBL COACHES/PLAYERS GUIDELINES
 |
Corn Belt Coaches/Players Guidelines
- Players be respectful towards coaches. If you are having an issue, talk to the coach one on one and schedule a meeting with him.
- Players be respectful towards umpires, fans and other players.
- Players show up to the field looking like a college athlete. Represent our league well. Do not show up with your jersey un-tucked from your baseball pants, backwards hat, etc.
- Follow all the league rules and rules of conduct at the Strike Zone. Please be courteous to customers at the Strike Zone. If you see a younger kid working in the cage or tunnel area(s), encourage them, give some pointers, and invite them out to watch you play this summer. They will be looking up to you and that will go a long way in their lives creating lasting memories.
- If you are going to miss a game, practice, etc. make sure you give your coach the common courtesy of letting him know in advance that you will not be there.
- Make sure you are following the rules set by your host family. It needs to be an enjoyable experience for you and for them.
- Represent our league in the community. Omaha is a very small big city and lots of people know someone associated with the Strike Zone, MVP4Life, and the Corn Belt League. Make sure that you are representing all 3 of these organizations in a good fashion.
- No tobacco products are to be used inside the Strike Zone.
- There will be a concession stand at Seymour Smith Park if you need to purchase food/drink. Iowa Western does not have concessions - you will need to bring food/drink, but they do provide water coolers for dugouts.
- Players must provide their own gray pants, black socks, and black belt. Players to wear their college team caps during games unless they choose to purchase a CBL team hat.
- Hitters must provide their own helmet, catchers their own gear, and pitchers must provide their own strikes.
- CBL players will receive a 15% discount on regular priced equipment at the Strike Zone Pro Shop. We have wood bats in stock already and marked down for purchase. No additional discounts for items already on clearance.
- Players must present their CBL membership card at the Strike Zone front desk in order to use the facility.
- Zero Tolerance Drug Policy: If a player is caught with any illegal substance or paraphernalia, it will result in immediate release from the league.
- Golf Outing Help needed for fundraiser. Information on this event will be forthcoming. Volunteers will help set up and help assist with golfers bags from their vehicle to their golf cart. Need 8-10 player Please!
