6/26/2025

Omaha, NE — The Corn Belt League is excited to announce a full day of baseball and community celebration on Saturday, July 5th, at JJ Isaacson Field at Seymour Smith Park. Omaha’s collegiate summer baseball league, now celebrating our 10th season, welcomes over 180 college baseball players to Nebraska from all across the country to compete, grow, and live in our community balancing baseball with summer jobs and mentorships. The Corn Belt League is putting on two marquee events taking place on Saturday, July 5th:

3:00 PM - Corn Fest: In State vs. Out of State All-Star Game

Our annual Corn Fest All-Star Game will showcase top talent from across the league, with players split into In State and Out of State teams. It's more than just a game—it's a festival for fans of all ages:

  •   Fresh-grilled Nebraska corn on the cob
  •   Raffle prizes and family contests
  •   Host Family Appreciation Recognition

6:00 PM - Fallen Hero Ceremony & Military Appreciation Game

  •   6:00 PM - Fallen Hero Ceremony
  •   7:00 PM - First Pitch by U.S. Air Force Honoree
  • 7:05 PM - Corn Belt League vs. U.S. Military WarDogs

The U.S. Military WarDogs are a national baseball team comprised of active and retired service members from all branches. Representing the nonprofit Forever Never Forgotten, they travel the country using baseball to raise awareness about veteran issues-such as PTSD, homelessness, and reintegration-while honoring the families of fallen heroes. This game is more than just baseball-it's a tribute to sacrifice, unity, and the enduring American spirit. Admission is free, with donations encouraged to support the WarDogs' mission.

Event Location:

JJ Isaacson Field, Seymour Smith Park

6802 Harrison St, Omaha, NE 68127
