How do I register?
Registration is handled directly through our website. Just click the “Registration” button and go to the “Player Application” tab. From there, you’ll fill out your player information and select a payment option. Once payment is received, your spot in the league is locked in.
⸻
What are the payment options?
When you reach the payment section, you’ll see a few choices:
• Pay in Full – The best price option.
• Payment Plan (EFT) – A $150 deposit followed by five scheduled payments from January through May.
• Pitcher Only Pricing – A reduced rate available for players registering solely as pitchers.
Once your payment is processed, your credit card information is cleared from our system for security.

How does team placement work?
The Corn Belt League is made up of eight teams, all operated under the same league structure. Coaches are asked to recruit a core group of 5–10 players. After that, the rest of each roster is built from our player registration pool. The goal is to keep the competition-level as even as possible across the league while ensuring every player gets the chance to develop.
Here’s what that means for you:
• When you register, you can list a coach or teammate you’d like to play with. Early requests are usually guaranteed.
• If you register later in the spring, we’ll do our best to honor requests, but some positions may already be filled.
• If you don’t list a request, that’s normal — we’ll place you on a team where you’ll get meaningful reps and the opportunity to compete with the proper number of players at each position.

About the League Fee |
|
I get that some players might hesitate when they hear “pay-to-play.” Here’s the truth: Summer leagues aren’t built to make money — they’re built to create opportunities. League fees help cover things such as field rentals at well-maintained city ballparks and us getting experienced umpires. Over time, the league has realized how important it is to have umpires who are qualified to officiate at the college level and we want to ensure we are providing experienced officiates at all times.
The league keeps costs as low as possible. Plus, with their summer job opportunities, most players make back what they paid for league fees in the first month and often end up making more! |
