Seeking Assistant Coaches for Summer 2026
12/8/2025

The Corn Belt League is looking for a few more assistant coaches for the 2026 summer season. With the league continuing to grow and develop into a nationally recognized collegiate program, assistant coaches play an important role both on and off the field.

CBL assistant coaches support the head coach in practices and game-day responsibilities. Many assistants specialize in pitching, hitting, or defensive work, and all play a key role in player development—especially for freshmen, sophomores, and redshirts competing for roles at their universities.

Position Highlights

  • Player Development: Work directly with athletes to sharpen skills and build on their college foundation.

  • Practice & Game Duties: Throw BP, pregame I/O, assisting with four preseason practices, coaching basepath, and help with in-game adjustments.

  • Mentorship: Promote confidence, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Schedule: Weekday evening games (5 PM or 8 PM), May 31–July 31, 30-game season. Teams do also play on weekends with game times varying. Teams will play between 3-5 games each week.

This role is ideal for recent graduates pursuing coaching or coaches with experience looking to work closely with college athletes while expanding their network.
