UNO Biomechanics Pitching Lab Partnership
4/17/2026

We’re excited to provide you with access to one of the most advanced player development resources in the region through our partnership with the UNO Biomechanics Pitching Lab. This is a multi-step approach to owning your mechanics and is designed to give you a complete, data-driven understanding of your body to help maximize velocity, improve efficiency, and reduce injury risk. Players can schedule a one-time session OR one assessment before the summer season and one session at the conclusion of the season.

What to Expect

Every evaluation begins with a clinical assessment to establish a clear picture of how your body moves and transfers energy on the mound. This process begins with a series of movement tests, including:

  • Shoulder range of motion testing (both throwing and non-throwing arms)
  • Shoulder strength measurements using state-of-the-art resistance devices
  • Scapular dyskinesis assessments to evaluate shoulder blade movement and positioning
  • UCL ultrasound imaging to assess elbow joint spacing and potential stress indicators

Following this, you’ll receive an individualized, easy-to-understand report showing your clinical results.

You’ll then be evaluated during a bullpen session using elite motion-capture technology on a force-plate pitching mound. This system captures highly detailed data on your mechanics, removing guesswork and providing precise measurements tied to your movement patterns. This analysis identifies:

  • Movement inefficiencies
  • Opportunities to increase velocity
  • Areas of elevated injury risk

All data is then compiled into a customized report specific to your delivery. These reports include:

  • Clear explanations of each metric
  • Video breakdowns of your mechanics
  • Actionable steps for improvement & ways to increase velocity without putting mechanics at risk

You’ll also have the option to schedule a follow-up consultation (in-person or virtual) to review your results and build a clear plan moving forward. Get a more behind-the-scenes look at the lab and its technology:
