There's a lot of emphasis in today's game on increasing velocity and spending time in the weight room, but pitching is about more than just throwing hard. It's about learning how to compete, hit your spots, pitch out of trouble, control the running game, and manage the pace of a game. Those are skills that can only be developed through competition. Training has its place, but there's no substitute for facing live hitters and learning how to get outs when it matters.
If you're a college pitcher looking for consistent innings on the mound this summer, the Corn Belt League could be a great fit for you! The goal of summer baseball should be getting meaningful innings under your belt so you return to campus in the fall better prepared and more confident in your role.
We're gearing up for our 12th summer season in Omaha and we've been intentional about creating a league that gives pitchers opportunities to compete, get consistent work on the mound, and prepare for what's ahead. Whether you're competing for a starting spot, looking to handle a bigger bullpen role, or an incoming freshman wanting to face college hitters before arriving on campus, we want to help you make your summer count.
If you’re looking for a summer where you can develop on the mound and make the most of your time away from campus, we’d love for you to be part of it!

MORE THAN JUST THROWING IN GAMES |

Beyond in-game reps, we partner with the University of Nebraska Omaha's Pitching Lab to give CBL pitchers access to one of the region's most advanced pitching evaluation resources. This is an opportunity to go beyond the mound and get a better understanding of your mechanics, movement patterns, and opportunities to improve velocity and efficiency while identifying potential injury risks.
WHY CHOOSE THE CBL?
One of the things that makes the Corn Belt League different from other summer leagues is how our teams are built. You do not have to be recruited by a CBL coach. You do not need to already have a connection with a CBL coach. Simply register and we'll take care of the rest. When registering, you have the option to request to play for a specific coach or with a teammate. Don't have a coach or teammate to request? No problem. Our staff places you on a team where you can get meaningful playing time. We work to balance rosters across all teams in the league. As rosters fill throughout the spring, some requests may become more difficult to accommodate because of roster balance and positional needs. The earlier you register, the more likely your request is met.
